So many people ask my about cranial osteopathy, so here’s a bit more about it
.
And also sharing my colorful skull model (left the real ones on the shelf)
.
As I often say, the health is in the flow
.
The term “cranial osteopaths” can be misleading
.
We cranial osteopaths treat the whole body
.
The body is one unit
.
Yes, divided into multiple parts, but you must always consider the whole
.
This is another part of the MultiDimensional approach
.
Cranial osteopaths check for
.
-the alignment of the bones
.
-tension or kinkss in the connective tissue (fascia, dura that holds everything in place)
.
-the movement of the fluids: the arteries that bring nourishment, veins that remove toxins and metabolites, lymph they drains inflammation, and cerebral spinal fluid that bathes the brain and spinal cord
.
-the feel of the organs and their integration with the whole
.
-and often the balance of the emotional body as well
.
If the fluids get stuck, think of backed up plumbing.
.
For everything, consider physics - you can’t shift a part without shifting the whole.
.
When someone asks me if one symptom they have is related to another, my answer is yes because it’s all in one person. A separation would be arbitrary. Now it may not be apparent how it’s related, but that’s different.
.
I started training in cranial osteopathy over a decade ago.
.
It helps me work with people even if they don’t have a diagnosis.
.
Mainly, there’s an imbalance.
.
It’s my job as a physician to see the light and health within each person, to nourish it, and to help each person see it too.
.
As the founder of osteopath Dr AT Still said, “The role of a physician is to find health... anyone can find disease.”
.
The body is always seeking balance.
.
When there are symptoms, I like to ask, why does the body want to do that?
.
We can ask that question at each layer mind, body, and spirit to look from various perspectives.
.
It feels so much more fulfilling when you consider the whole
.
It helps people feel more seen and heard and understood
.
And with love and compassion
.
The same way I’d like to be treated
.

Could cranial osteopathy help you? Ask me how!
.
I see all ages.
.
Sometimes, kids will tell their parents exactly when to come in for an appointment. My kids do the same - either yes want a treatment, or a remedy, or just a salt bath and rest. It’s so cool to see little ones grow up and maintain such a strong connection and understanding of their bodies. ❤️
